Why we like/dislike it: I adore winter book covers, and this is yet another one that I love! The past few book covers from Lucy Dillon have been gorgeous, and this one has certainly followed suit. The lovely white of the snow, contrasted with the deep pinky/red of the writing, and the small image of the woman and the dog works so well, and I think it depicts a quinessential English winter scene really well. It would definitely make me pick it up off the bookshelf, and I think anyone who loves wintery chick lit books is going to love this cover too… what’s to dislike?!

I disagree. It’s one of the blandest covers I’ve ever seen. The background looks all washed out and I can’t for the life of me make out the buildings in the background. It’s a nice cover, I suppose, but it’s nowhere near as beautiful as her other covers and I’m hoping that this is just a very bad screenshot of it, and that the real thing will pop better because that above? Not popping.

Oh..it looks like i left it in the sun too long, could be nice in print if the colours are slightly stronger than on screen.

You’re all incredibly picky. A lot of your readers aren’t really into this kind of negative talk. We like these writers and we think the jackets are just fine. None of us are publishers. Let’s just get on with reading and celebrating it.

I think it’s an eye catching cover, not too slushy, also have read Lucy Dillon’s books before and know I like them so don’t really take the cover into account, tend to read reviews for new authors raher than judge by the cover so am not much help really!!
