Madeleine Buston (Darley Anderson Agency)
Madeleine tells us: what it is she does in the publishing world, how she ended up as head of Women’s Fiction and rights at the Darley Anderson Agency, what anyone would need to do to become a book agent, how she chooses which female authors she would like to represent, what exactly happens when you’re trying to sell foreign rights on books, who her favourite author has been that she represents, how she came to represent Tara [Hyaland, author of Daughters of Fortune], whether she would ever write a book herself, what kind of books she enjoys reading and, finally, she tells us a random fact about working in the publishing world!

Hannah tells us: about what it is she does at Little, Brown, what her route to working in publicity was, what it would take to work in the publicity section of the book industry, what a typical book campaign is like for her using Rules by Jane Beaton as an example, who her favourite author was to work with, who some of her favourite books/authors are, a random fact about the publishing industry and finally tells us what books she’s currently working on.
